In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo co-sponsored by Councilor Angelina B. Andrada, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

ORDINANCE NO. 83
(Series of 2005)

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP1,500,000.00) TO BE TAKEN FROM THE PAGCOR FUND TO COVER THE CITY’S COUNTERPART FOR 2,500 INDIGENT FAMILIES OR A TOTAL OF 5,000 INDIGENT FAMILIES WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP1,500,000.00) to be taken from the PAGCOR Fund is hereby appropriated to cover the city’s counterpart for 2,500 indigent families or a total of 5,000 indigent families who will benefit from the program.

SECTION 2. This appropriation Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. This pertinent letter request of Honorable James Gordon, Jr., City Mayor dated 9 November 2005 and the Certificate of Availability of Funds dated November 16, 2005 issued by Mr. Marcelino D. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
