A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL TRANSMISSION CORPORATION REPRESENTED BY ITS ASSISTANT VICE-PRESIDENT ENGR. FERNANDO ABESAMIS FOR THE LIVELIHOOD TRAINING OF OLONGAPENOS


WHEREAS, Olongapo City recognizes the invaluable help of various non-governmental organizations and quasi-public corporations for the development and preservation of our environment and natural resources;

WHEREAS, the National Transmission Corporation is a foremost advocate of corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship for the parallel development of both the company and the country;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City believes that a comprehensive approach ought to be utilized in the development and preservation of the environment;

WHEREAS, National Transmission Corporation recognizes that one of the more effective ways for environmental development is women empowerment;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo and National Transmission Corporation aim to develop and enhance the production capability of women through livelihood training.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes, Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr., City Mayor of Olongapo City to enter into an Agreement with National Transmission Corporation represented by its Assistant Vice-President Engr. Fernando Abesamis for the livelihood training of Olongapenos.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the National Transmission Corporation for their information and guidance.
