In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 38
(Series of 2007)

AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF ONE (1) EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT III, ITEM NO. 12 AND CREATING ONE (1) POSITION OF EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT II UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. One (1) position of Executive Assistant III, Item No. 12 is hereby abolished and one (1) plantilla position of Executive Assistant II under the Office of the City Mayor is hereby created to meet the staffing needs of the said department.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter-request of the Hon. City Mayor James Gordon Jr. dated August 8, 2007, memorandum to City Budget Office dated July 30, 2007, memorandum issued by Mr. Johnny B. Choa, City Budget Officer dated August 6, 2007 and a certification from the Personnel Department dated August 31, 2007 are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
