WHEREAS, the City acknowledges the significance of legislative measures that gives birth to tried and tested quality programs of the City;

WHEREAS, the hardcore legislative works carried out by City Councilors as well as their hands-on involvement in their implementation are but the perfect mix that constitute the realization of development programs addressing a myriad of needs;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City deems that such efforts of the legislators be given due award and recognition;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact he following Ordinance :

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING CASH INCENTIVE AWARDS TO CITY COUNCILORS WHO SERVED THE MAXIMUM THREE CONSECUTIVE TERMS OF MERITORIOUS PUBLIC SERVICE

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT :

SECTION 1. As the City’s token of appreciation, it is hereby declared to provide cash incentive awards to Councilors who reached the maximum of three consecutive terms of meritorious service to the people of Olongapo.

SECTION 2. Appropriation .

For the effective implementation of this measure, the amount of TEN THOUSAND PESOS (PhP10,000) shall be appropriated for this year, under the item Representations of the Office of the City Council.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
