            WHEREAS,  in consideration of the plight of  our taxpayers who have been affected by the flooding wrought by Typhoon Odette and Habagat and upon the recommendation of the  City Treasurer with the City Finance Committee  for  our taxpayers, including them, to avail of  the 20% discount program for those who will pay in full and in advance of their Real Property Taxes for 2014, the City hereby deems to provide the said extension from December 31, 2013 to February 15, 2014;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor  Elena C. Dabu, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance :

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE 20% DISCOUNT ON THE ADVANCE PAYMENT OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES DUE FOR THE YEAR 2014 AS PROVIDED UNDER SECTION 2B.12 OF THE 2007 REVENUE CODE TO FEBRUARY 15, 2014,

 IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

            SECTION 1 . The twenty percent (20%) discount on the advance payment of real property taxes due for tax year 2014 is hereby extended until February 15, 2014 to tax payers who will pay their Real Property taxes (RPTs) in full.

            SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
