RESOLUTION NO. 68

A RESOLUTION STRONGLY EXPRESSING OLONGAPO
CITY’S UNEQUIVOCAL SUPPORT TO HER EXCELLENCY
GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, PRESIDENT, REPUBLIC OF
THE PHILIPPINES IN THESE TRYING TIMES

WHEREAS, our beloved country, the Philippines is again facing attempts of divisiveness among us, Filipinos;

WHEREAS, the local government officials and employees of Olongapo City stand united for national solidarity and sobriety and we call everyone to set aside partisanship and greed;

WHEREAS, we adhere for peace and firmly believe in the leadership of Her Excellency calling for patience, unity and development;

WHEREAS, with utmost confidence and trust, we hereby manifest our wholehearted support to the President of the Republic of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, for and in behalf of the City Government and people of Olongapo, we hereby declare, that we will rekindle the hope that made us rise from the ruins, complementing the programs of the President in this spirit as we share in her vision as the leader and mother of our country.

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to express, as it hereby expresses Olongapo City’s unequivocal support to Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President, Republic of the Philippines in these trying times.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President, Republic of the Philippines for her information and record.
