RESOLUTION NO. 81
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION INDORSING THE REQUEST OF MORONG, BATAAN JITNEY ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED TO LAND TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISING AND REGULATORY BOARD FOR THE EXTENSION OF THEIR FRANCHISE TO PERIMETER ROAD, VOLUNTEERS PARK, OLONGAPO CITY (POINT TO POINT ONLY)

WHEREAS, the Morong, Bataan Jitney Association Incorporated (MBJAI), an association of jitney drivers and owners operating along the route Morong, Bataan to SBMA Morong gate via Barangays Sabang and Mabayo expressed their intention to make Olongapo City the end-route of their jitney operation;

WHEREAS, considering that their association had been religiously providing the public easy access from Morong, Bataan straight to Olongapo City via SBMA Freeport Zone, the Sangguniang Panlungsod hereby approves their request for extension of their franchise but up to the Perimeter Road, Volunteers Park only;

WHEREAS, for this, Olongapo City hereby indorses the said formal intent to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB);

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, co-sponsored by Councilors Bella P. Asuncion, Marey Beth D. Marzan, Angelina B. Andrada, Brian Patrick H. Gordon, Anselmo A. Aquino, Edwin J. Piano, Gina G. Perez, Napoleon F. Capistrano and Robine Rose C. Buenafe, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to indorse, as it hereby indorses the request of Morong, Bataan Jitney Association Incorporated to Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board for the extension of their franchise to Perimeter Road, Volunteers Park, Olongapo City (Point to Point only).

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for their information and action.
