Im the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 85
(Series of 2005)

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE MILLION PESOS (PHP179,000,000.00) TO THE ITEM COST OF GOODS SOLD UNDER MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of One Hundred Seventy Nine Million Pesos (PhP179,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the item Cost of Goods Sold under Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses for the payment of power bills to the National Power Corporation (NPC) of the Public Utilities Department (PUD).

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter request of Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. dated 17 November 2005, letter request dated 17 October 2005 of Engr. Luisito Lopez, OIC – General Manager, Public Utilities Department and the Certificate of Availability of Funds dated November 23, 2005 issued by Mr. Marcelino D. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance.
