RESOLUTION NO. 26
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SUBIC BAY METROPOLITAN AUTHORITY (SBMA) TO DONATE GOODS, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO


WHEREAS, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and Olongapo City Government are global partners for the alleviation of poverty among residents of Olongapo;

WHEREAS, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority has goods, materials and equipment stored at the SBMA Warehouse which are deteriorating and will be better off donated to Olongapo City Government for distribution and beneficial use of its residents;

WHEREAS, the said goods, materials and equipment such as but not limited to the following are better used for poverty alleviation, livelihood training, emergency response operation, cultural/heritage preservation of the Olongapo City Govenrment:

1. 3,508 pcs. of electric blankets
2. 17 bundles of empty sacks
3. 70 boxes of assorted books
4. Traffic outpost
5. Usable items like steel 1-beam, roofing from building subject for demolition
6. Fire trucks
7. Furniture
8. Container vans
9. Two (2) boats

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to request, as it hereby requests the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to donate goods, materials and equipment for beneficial use of the Olongapo City Government.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Chairman and Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority for their information and guidance.
