A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING MS. JACKIE RICE FOR WINNING THE ULTIMATE FEMALE SURVIVOR OF THE STAR STRUCK AND EXTENDING FULL SUPPORT TO HER


WHEREAS, Ms. Jackie Rice, a 15 year old “Batang Gapo” from Gordon Heights made it with flying colors to the Star Struck – The Nationwide Invasion and won as its The Ultimate Female Survivor in the Final Judgment held on March 12, 2006 at the Marikina Sports Center;

WHEREAS, this multi-talented and brilliant young lady has raised the big flag of Olongapeños and brought pride and prestige to the City by revealing the star potentials of its youth;

WHEREAS, during the live simulcast of its Judgment Day, twenty five thousand (25,000) people personally witnessed how Ms. Rice honored the City by presenting it as the Mardi Gras Capital of the Philippines, thus, promoting the rave spirits of festivity and merrymaking. the City is known for;

WHEREAS, Ms. Rice has shown the best of her star quality in the 3-months competition and successfully gained her throne along with PhP1 Million Cash Prize and PhP2 Million worth of exclusive contract at the GMA 7 Network, a package that will surely pave way to a more blossoming television career;

WHEREAS, Jackie made an astounding difference at her fresh and young age having accomplished the various challenges of the quest with a positive attitude. Her success brought inspirations and encouragements to everybody to explore their utmost potentials and desire to be excellent in their chosen fields of endeavor;

WHEREAS, the Members of the City Council and most specially the People of Olongapo believe on the strength and abilities of Ms. Jackie Rice and support her on her great journey to a fulfilling and successful career;

NOW, THEREFORE, upon the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to congratulate, as it hereby congratulates Ms. Jackie Rice for Winning the Ultimate Female Survivor of the Star Struck and Extending Full Support to her.

RESOLVED FINALLY, AS IT IS HEREBY FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be furnished MS. JACKIE RICE for her information and record.
