ABSENT:

WHEREAS, Kalaklan Elementary School and Sergia Soriano Esteban Memorial High School are both located at McArthur National Hiway, Kalaklan, Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, the said schools are located in the same site, sharing their facilities, resources and grounds;

WHEREAS, under these circumstances, integration is the most appropriate action to be taken as per DepEd guidelines;

WHEREAS, integrating these schools is very timely considering the amount of resources that would be saved: a cost-cutting measure for the government;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, co-sponsored by Councilors Cynthia G. Cajudo and Robine Rose C. Buenafe, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

ORDINANCE NO. 45
(Series of 2006)

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SERGIA SORIANO ESTEBAN
INTEGRATED SCHOOL OF KALAKLAN AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. This Ordinance shall be known as “An Ordinance Establishing the Sergia Soriano Esteban Integrated School of Kalaklan and For Other Purposes”.

SECTION 2. That Kalaklan Elementary School and Sergia Soriano Esteban Memorial High School located along McArthur National Highway , Kalaklan Olongapo City be integrated in one (1) public school and be named Sergia Soriano Esteban Integrated School of Kalaklan.

SECTOION 3. REPEALING CLAUSE. All existing ordinances, which are inconsistent with this ordinance, are hereby deemed repealed and/or amended accordingly.

SECTION 4. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If any of the provisions or parts of this ordinance are declared unconstitutional or invalid, the other provisions or parts hereof shall continue to be in full force and effect.

SECTION 5. EFFECTIVITY. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

Let copies of Resolutions from Barangay Kalaklan, PTCA of Kalaklan Elementary School, Sergia Soriano Memorial High School and School Board be made as integral parts of this measure.
