RESOLUTION NO. 103
(Series of 2009)

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE DEED OF TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE VEHICLE DONATED BY THE UNITED NATIONS POPULATION FUND (UNFPA) TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO FOR USE IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 6TH COUNTRY PROGRAM ON POPULATION STRATEGY

WHEREAS, Olongapo City recognizes the need to prioritize the health condition of its populace. It espouses a health intervention program which includes important tools for the improvement of the health and welfare of mothers, children and other members of the family. It also provides information and services for the couples of reproductive age to plan their family according to their beliefs and circumstances through legally and medically acceptable family planning methods;

WHEREAS, the City’s staunch effort towards the attainment of its priority health programs is greatly complemented by the equivocal support of the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), the partner of the City in implementing the 6th Country Program on Population Strategy and Reproductive Health;

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 94, Series of 2009 entitled “A Resolution Authorizing City Mayor James Gordon Jr. to Accept and Receive the Vehicle Donated by the United Nations Population Fund To the City of Olongapo for Use in the Implementation of the 6th Country program on Population Strategy” has been passed on this regard;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems that it is in the best interest of the City to ratify the Deed of Transfer of Ownership and Acceptance of the said donation;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr., with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to ratify, as it hereby ratifies the Deed of Transfer of Ownership and Acceptance of the vehicle donated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to the City of Olongapo for use in the implementation of the 6th Country Program on Population Strategy.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the signed copy of the Deed of Transfer of Ownership and Acceptance of the vehicle donated be made as integral part of this Resolution.
