A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO, EXECUTE AND SIGN FOR THE DEED OF DONATION AND DEED OF ACCEPTANCE WITH THE PHILIPPINE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION IN CHICAGO (PMAC),USA IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

           

WHEREAS, the DONOR, the Philippine Medical Association in Chicago (PMAC) is a non-profit organization composed of Filipino-American physicians based in Chicago, Illinois, USA;

WHEREAS, the DONEE, the Local Government Unit of Olongapo City represented by Honorable Mayor Rolen C. Paulino; was chosen to accept the donation by the PMAC;

WHEREAS, the PMAC will donate twenty five Balikbayan boxes containing assorted medical supplies, prescription medicines, surgical and anesthesia supplies and miscellaneous items like infant formulas, toys and dental supplies;

WHEREAS, these donations are for and in consideration of deep humanitarian affecting which the DONOR has for the DONEE, for their sincere commitment for the continued help and fulfillment of the needs of the community;

WHEREAS, the DONEE thru the DONOR, do hereby accept this donation of the described properties on the Deed of Donation, do hereby express their gratitude on the kindness and liberality of the DONOR through the Deed of Acceptance;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eduardo G. Guerrero, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

                     

RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize as it hereby the Honorable City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino to enter into, execute, and sign for the Deed of Donation and Deed of Acceptance with the Philippine Medical Association in Chicago (PMAC),USA in a manner consistent with law.

EQUIPMENT FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION AND MAINTENANCE OF MARIKIT

PARK, AND ACCEPT THE SAME. SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAWS,

RULES, AND REGULATIONS

         WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo is the registered owner of the Marikit Park (“the Park”), located at the Olongapo City Civic Center Complex in Olongapo City, and  desires to beautify and maintain the park, as well as to place therein certain playground equipment of the  benefit of the City’s  residents and the public in general;

         WHEREAS, for and consideration of its love for fidelity to the people of  Olongapo, SM Prime Holdings, Inc., hereby undertakes to exclusively assume the beautification, cleaning, and maintenance of the Park, and furthermore hereby donates the  particular playground equipment described  in the document attached to and made an integral part of the Deed of Donation and Acceptance labelled Annex “A” (the “Equipment”), wherein the Equipment is worth Two Thousand Sixty-Three Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Six Pesos (PhP263,926.00), more or less, to the City of Olongapo, and the City of Olongapo hereby accepts the foregoing donation, subject to the particular terms  set out in the Deed and Acceptance;

               NOW, THEREFORE, on  motion of City Councilors Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, Elena C. Dabu, Benjamin G. Cajudo II, Eduardo G. Guerrero, Edna A. Elane, Emerito Linus D. Bacay, Randy C. Sionzon and Egmidio M. Gonzales, Jr. with the majority decision of the Members  of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

             RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panglungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable Rolen C. Paulino, City  Mayor to sign the Deed of Donation between the City Government of Olongapo  and SM Prime Holdings, Inc., represented by Mr. Bien C. Mateo, Vice President – Operations, Shopping Center Management Corporation (“SCMC”), on the donation of Two Hundred Sixty – Three Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Six Pesos (PhP263,926.00) intended to be used for certain playground equipment for the beautification and maintenance of Marikit Park, and accept the same, subject to applicable laws, rules, and  regulations.

         Let a copy of the list of contents of the playground equipment and the Deed of Donation and Acceptance be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

WHEREAS, Olongapo City places high priority on the dredging of rivers as one of its disaster preparedness measures, along with the studies at hand on the causes and factors that heightened the casualties as well as on the huge destruction of properties in flood hit areas;

WHEREAS, SM Prime Holdings Inc. donation of one (1) unit of backhoe is a timely answer for the urgent need of equipment to facilitate the on-going clearing and dredging operations;

WHEREAS, it is but necessary that the Deed of Donation be ratified in this regard;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to ratify, as it is hereby ratifies, the deed of donation entered into and signed by City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C.
