WHEREAS, the Department of Education through the Bureau of Secondary Education will conduct the two national activities namely 2014 National Festival of Talents (NFOT) and the 2014 National Schools Press Conference on April 7-9, 2014,

WHEREAS, the Division of Olongapo under the supervision of DepEd Region III will be the host of the said national events,

WHEREAS, it is expected that delegates from 17 regions will participate in this momentous event and as such the host city is prepared to provide its utmost support to meet the demands for the conduct and success of the said events,

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II and co-sponsored by City Councilor Emerito Linus D. Bacay, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to enact the following Ordinance:

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1.  The Old Hospital Road, Barangay East Tapinac from the corner of Dela Cruz Drive to the corner of East 16^th Street (Both Left and Right Lanes of Leo’s Park) shall be temporarily closed to traffic from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily from April 6-9, 2014.

SECTION 2. The above-mentioned temporary closure is in line with the Department of Education 2014 National Festival of Talents (NFOT) and the 2014 National Schools Press Conference.

SECTION 3. The outline of the re-routing of vehicles made by the Office of Traffic Management and Public Safety shall be an integral part of this ordinance.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
