            In the interest of the public service and on motion of City Councilor  Emerito Linus D. Bacay, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,  by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE  TEMPORARILY CLOSING  MAGSAYSAY DRIVE FROM THE CORNER OF GORDON AVENUE TO UNITY ROTONDA MAGSAYSAY DRIVE CORNER RIZAL AVENUE TO TRAFFIC FROM 5:00 PM UP TO 2:00 AM THE NEXT DAY, OF EVERY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS (5 WEEKENDS) FROM MARCH 28  UP TO APRIL 26, 2014, TO SERVE AS THE VENUE FOR THE “SUMMER KALYE KASIYAHAN” EVENT SUBJECT TO PERTINENT LAWS 

            BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1.    That Magsaysay Drive from the corner of Gordon Avenue to Unity Rotonda Magsaysay Drive corner Rizal Avenue, Olongapo City is declared temporarily closed to traffic from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am the next day of every Fridays and Saturdays of the month beginning on March 28 up to April 26, 2014.

SECTION 2.    The Summer Kalye  Kasiyahan event aims to re-energize the Magsaysay Drive as an entertainment destination catering to both local and foreign tourists. The City, with the success of the previous Kalye Kasiyahan, endeavors to resound the success of the said event on summer time.

SECTION 3.  Outline of the re-routing plan of the vehicles made by the Office of the Traffic Management and Public Safety shall be an integral part of this ordinance.

SECTION 4.  This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
