A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CITY’S PROFOUND APPRECIATION
TO THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN (SEA)GAMES VOLUNTEERS
FROM OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, Olongapo City is not only fortunate to have its lone contingent to compete in the 23rd Southeast Asian Games last November 26 to December 4, 2005, but is equally proud to have sent a significant number of volunteers who shared their time, gifts, resources and efforts in this endeavor to showcase to the world the best of the country;

WHEREAS, the hardwork, dedication and discipline of the Filipino athletes, who towed the country to rank first in this regional sports spectacle were complemented by the untiring efforts of the volunteers who provided main backbone support, helping the athletes, the visitors and spectators on every amazing sports event;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City commends the excellent work of the volunteers in this shining moment of the country in the arena of sports;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to extend, as it hereby extends the City’s profound appreciation to the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games volunteers from Olongapo City.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHILSOC) and the National Youth Commission (NYC), the Olongapo Rescue Team, Gordon College, Metro Subic Colleges, Olongapo City National High School, St. Joseph’s College, DX3 UNA and BSP James L. Gordon Council for their information and record.
