WHEREAS, the City Treasurer and City Assessor recommended the extension of the program to taxpayers who will pay their RPTs for tax year 2006 on or before February 15, 2006 wherein said measure is an advantage not only to the taxpayers but as well as the City Government;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo co-sponsored by Councilors Bella P. Asuncion, Marey Beth D. Marzan, Angelina B. Andrada, Brian Patrick H. Gordon, Anselmo A. Aquino, Gina G. Perez and Robine Rose C. Buenafe with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 03
(Series of 2006)

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE 20% DISCOUNT ON THE ADVANCE PAYMENT OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES DUE FOR YEAR 2006 AS PROVIDED UNDER SECTION 15, ARTICLE 4 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 81, SERIES OF 2002 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE OLONGAPO CITY REVENUE CODE OF 2002”


BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The twenty percent (20%) discount on the advance payment of Real Property Taxes Due for Tax Year 2006 is extended until February 15, 2006 to taxpayers who will pay their RPTs in full.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
