RESOLUTION NO. 238
(Series of 2006)


A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SYMPATHY TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF FORMER COUNCILMAN RUPERTO N. ANCAYA OF BARANGAY BANICAIN


WHEREAS, former Barangay Councilman Ruperto N. Ancaya of Banicain, Olongapo City passed away to be with his Creator on December 27, 2006;

WHEREAS, aware of his leadership capabilities as a former base worker and community worker, Kagawad Ancaya was elected and took seat as Barangay Councilman in 1982 up to 2005;

WHEREAS, his 23 years of unfaltering service earned him the distinction in the “Gawad ng Paglilingkod sa Barangay” given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government last January 29, 2006 in recognition of his long and significant community service in attending to the needs of his constituents;

WHEREAS, the City joins the Ancaya Family in the loss of their beacon and Barangay Banicain for the demise of one of their most loved councilmen;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to express, as it hereby expresses sympathy to the bereaved family of former Councilman Ruperto N. Ancaya of Barangay Banicain.
