RESOLUTION NO. 167

A RESOLUTION THANKING HER EXCELLENCY AMBASSADRESS KRISTIE KENNEY OF THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA FOR EXTENDING A CORDIAL VISIT TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO


WHEREAS, on October 26, 2007, Her Excellency US Ambassadress Kristie Kenney and USS Connecticut together with her Commanding Officer Dan Christofferson and servicemen visited Barretto I Elementary School to conduct repainting works of their classrooms and implemented beautification projects;

WHEREAS, the visit proves that the United States of America and the Philippines sustain and strengthen mutual support for their joint military training and community services, the partnership firmly based on shared historical experiences and common commitments for peace and democracy;

WHEREAS, the City is honored for the cordial gesture of the Ambassadress which cements such staunch alliance between the Filipinos and Americans. The world can look upon on the bonds of friendship shared by the two nations which transcend borders, culture, language and any barrier;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to thank, as it hereby thanks Her Excellency Ambassadress Kristie Kenney of the United States of America for extending a cordial visit to the City of Olongapo.
