A RESOLUTION CONVEYING PROFOUND SYMPATHIES AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF FORMER CITY ENGINEER, HENRY S. SEGUI

WHEREAS, Engineer Henry S. Segui peacefully joined his Creator on March 28, 2008 at the age of 64;

WHEREAS, Engr. Segui’s accomplishment as a public servant highlights his 38 years of dedicated service, 10 years of which marked his task of spearheading the landmark projects of the City that significantly boosted Olongapo’s economic stature in the Region. He was not only the skilled planner but the stamina behind the building of the Olongapo City Convention Center, the Museum, the Olongapo City Mall, the Olongapo City Hall, the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital and numerous infrastructure projects, considered to be his grand masterpieces left to the City;

WHEREAS, a native of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur who had been noted for his active practice, dexterity and excellent track record in the Department of Public Works and Highways, the former City Engineer was cited to take the post through the recommendation of then Congressman Luis Villafuerte, the tenure he relentlessly served from February 14, 1994 up to July 1, 2004;

WHEREAS, the City Government and citizenry of Olongapo join the bereaved family of Engr. Segui in this moment of grief, having lost one of the pillars of the City’s developmental thrusts;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to convey, as it hereby conveys profound sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family of former City Engineer, Henry S. Segui.
