RESOLUTION NO. 42

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OF AGREEMENT FOR THE LEASE OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE COMPLEX (FORMERLY NDC) OWNED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT LOCATED IN OLD CABALAN, OLONGAPO CITY


WHEREAS, the City Council passed City Resolution No. 120, Series of 2007 converting the TransCon lot into a multi-purpose complex;

WHEREAS, the Office of the City Assessor thru the City Appraisal Committee Resolution No. 1, Series of 2008, assessed a portion of the lot equivalent to 1,534 square meters with a floor lease rate of Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred Pesos (PHP 11,900.00) per month;

WHEREAS, the portion of lot shall be offered at a lease rate of Eighteen Thousand Pesos (PHP 18,000.00) per month which is more than fifty percent (50%) of its recommended floor lease rate;

WHEREAS, this authority shall be subject to the City Council’s ratification in accordance with pertinent laws, rules and regulations;

NOW, THEREFORE, upon the joint motion of Councilors Angelito W. Baloy and Edwin J. Piano, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize as it hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Contract of Agreement for the lease of the Multi-Purpose Complex (Formerly NDC) owned by the City Government located in Old Cabalan, Olongapo City.


RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above-mentioned City Appraisal Committee Resolution No. 1, Series of 2008, be made an integral part of this resolution.
