A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHIES AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF THE LATE BRGY. CAPTAIN ALFREDO MARQUEZ CUEVAS OF BRGY. BANICAIN AND RECOGNIZING HIS INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO
WHEREAS, Alfredo Marquez Cuevas former Barangay Captain of Banicain passed away last May 4, 2009 at the age of 72;
WHEREAS, “Mang Fred” or “Cap”, as he is popularly known, served the Barangay since 1971 as an elected Senior Councilman and eventually was appointed Barangay Captain of Banicain until 1982;
WHEREAS, after a fruitful stint in the barangay for eleven (11) years he entered government service again as Hotel Inspector and Revenue Collection Clerk in 1982 under the City Treasurer’s Office. Later on he was assigned as Market Supervisor I and Park Maintenance General Foreman, under the Market and Slaughterhouse, until his retirement in 2001;
WHEREAS, as an accomplished public servant he showed his whole hearted dedication to the community;
WHEREAS, Barangay Banicain and the City of Olongapo, consider his demise a great loss and his unwavering support to the cause of this administration up to his last breath will always be remembered;
NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by t he Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses profound sympathies and condolences
to the bereaved family of the late Brgy. Captain Alfredo Marquez Cuevas of Brgy. Banicain and recognizing his invaluable contributions to the City of Olongapo.
