A RESOLUTION GRANTING INCENTIVES FOR PUNONG BARANGAYS WHO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE THREE (3) CONSECUTIVE TERMS FROM 2002 TO 2013, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND COMPLIANCE WITH PERTINENT LAWS

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code of 1991 provides the powers, duties and functions of the Punong Barangay. Said responsibilities and tasks set under their supervision steers the direction of their area of jurisdiction.

WHEREAS, being the City Government’s closest link to the grass root level of the community, the leadership of the Punong Barangays is vital in the implementation of various government plans and programs on health, peace and order, social welfare and many other developments for the common good.

WHEREAS, the genuine and dedicated public service rendered by an outgoing Punong Barangay who successfully completed three (3) consecutive terms is an unparalleled feat that can be given due appreciation by the city.

NOW, THEREFORE,  with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present.

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to grant, as it  hereby grants incentives for Punong Barangays who successfully completed the three (3) consecutive terms from 2002 to 2013, subject to the availability of funds and compliance with pertinent laws.
