RESOLUTION NO. 165
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION CONVEYING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION
TO THE PARENTS AND CANDIDATES
OF THE 2005 OLONGAPO CITY FIESTA QUEEN CONTEST

WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Fiesta Committee stepped up its quest to provide avenues to promote Olongapo City as the Mardi Gras capital of the country, present the best traditions we carry on as Olongapeños as well as engage in programs that will further spur economic growth;

WHEREAS, a full-packed fiesta celebration highlighted by the Olongapo City Fiesta Queen Contest is deemed the best way towards this end;

WHEREAS, proceeds of the said popularity contest will fund worthwhile City projects toward socio-economic upliftment of the indigent component of our City;

WHEREAS, the success of this endeavor would not be possible without the synergized efforts and generous support of the candidates as well as their parents in bringing this momentous event into reality;

WHEREAS, the following are the candidates of the Olongapo City Fiesta Queen Contest along with their parents :

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to convey, as it hereby conveys recognition and appreciation to the parents and candidates of the 2005 OLONGAPO CITY FIESTA QUEEN CONTEST.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the candidates for their information and record.
