A RESOLUTION SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION 134, SERIES OF 2005, “A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO PURCHASE DUMP TRUCKS FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION AND MANAGEMENT OFFICE (ESMO)” TO INCLUDE THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) BULLDOZER

WHEREAS, there is a need to procure garbage trucks and bulldozer to replace the compactor trucks and other equipment used in the regular collection of garbage. The said compactor trucks and other equipment have already broken down and were rendered unserviceable;

WHEREAS, in order to maintain the efficiency of the operation and avoid delays in the collection of garbage as well as the maintenance of the landfill area, it is an urgent matter to acquire new dump trucks and one (1) bulldozer for the use of ESMO;

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 134, Series of 2005, authorizes the City Mayor to purchase garbage dump trucks for the ESMO. However, the inclusion of one (1) bulldozer was inadvertently overlooked;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to supersede as it hereby supersedes Resolution 134, Series Of 2005, “A Resolution Authorizing The City Mayor To Purchase Dump Trucks For The Environmental Sanitation And Management Office (ESMO)” To Include The Purchase Of One (1) Bulldozer;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of the following documents be made as integral parts of this Resolution:

v The Memorandum of Agreement;
v Letter request dated Sept. 30, 2005 from Mr. Dante Ramos, City Government Department Head II;
v Letter request from City Mayor dated Oct. 4, 2005; and
v Indorsement of Deed of Sale from City Mayor dated Jan. 17, 2006.
