RESOLUTION NO. 58
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION, TMB,PNP, RED CROSS, BARANGAY OFFICIALS, SK OFFICIALS, VPAC, ULO NG APO RADIO GROUP, KABALIKAT CIVICOM, MAHARLIKA CIVICOM, OMEGA CIVICOM AND OTHER CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS THAT PAVED WAY TO THE IMPRESSIVE PEACE AND ORDER AS WELL AS SAFETY OF THE DELEGATES IN THE CONDUCT OF THE CLRAA MEET

WHEREAS, Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) formally opened last April 2, 2006 its five-day athletic competition to select the region’s representatives to the Palarong Pambansa this May;

WHEREAS, close to 10,000 athletes, coaches, teachers, schools and government officials from 7 provinces and 10 cities in Central Luzon flocked to Olongapo City in time for the grand parade and opening ceremonies;

WHEREAS, with 19 sports events on its centerpiece, in less than a month of preparation for the host city – Olongapo, CLRAA Meet 2006 needed the equivalent support of individuals and other entities to accomplish the gargantuan task of holding such event;

WHEREAS, for this, the City relied on the capability of various government, non-government and socio-civic entities to meet the myriad of needs for the said sports spectacle specifically those that would require smooth coordination, accurate communication, maintenance of peace and order, safety of delegates, emergency preparedness and the like. Through the unfaltering partnership fostered between the City and the said organizations, the event brought forth rippling benefits for the City to be categorized as an excellent venue for sports-tourism undertakings;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends the Bureau of Fire Protection, TMB,PNP, Red Cross, Barangay Officials, SK Officials, VPAC, Ulo Ng Apo Radio Group, Kabalikat Civicom, Maharlika Civicom, Omega Civicom and other civic organizations that paved way to the impressive peace and order as well as safety of the delegates in the conduct of the CLRAA Meet.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Officers and Members of the aforesaid organizations/entities for their information and record.
