RESOLUTION NO. 56
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING UTMOST COMMENDATION TO THE EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP AND UNPARALLELED DIRECTION CARRIED OUT BY THE CENTRAL LUZON REGIONAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (CLRAA) MEET 2006 CITY GOVERNMENT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE THAT LED TO THE SUCCESS OF THE PREPARATION AND HOSTING OF THE SAID REGIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION AMIDST THE VERY SHORT TIME GIVEN


WHEREAS, once again, Olongapo City regaled the entire Central Luzon as it played host to this year’s CLRAA Meet last April 2 to 7, 2006;

WHEREAS, the surging thrill of this athletic competition brought 7 provinces and 10 cities together to battle in 19 sports event while enjoying the best that Olongapo can offer – heartwarming welcome program, comfortable accommodations, unmatched peace and order and delightful hospitality, the contingents will never forget;

WHEREAS, this regional meet that produced the likes of Lydia de Vega (Track and Field – Bulacan), Dennis Espino (Basketball-Bataan) and Patrick John Tierro (Tennis-Olongapo) captured the attention of almost 10,000 crowd during the opening ceremonies and as such was made possible through the coordinated efforts extended by the City Government Executive Committee and its partnership with the Department of Education and other government as well as private entities;

WHEREAS, the overall organization of this brawn-brain contest attests of the strength of leadership carried on by the Executive Committee that exceeded the common direction and effort necessary for the holding of such event. With less than a month to prepare, they rolled out and implemented the detailed plan with no less than excellence;

WHEREAS, for this, Olongapo City salutes the Committee’s outstanding job and takes pride on this rewarding experience for all of us;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Edwin J. Piano, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,


RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to express, as it hereby expresses utmost commendation to the exemplary leadership and unparalleled direction carried out by the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet 2006 City Government Executive Committee that led to the success of the preparation and hosting of the said regional sports competition amidst the very short time given.
