RESOLUTION NO. 72
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE PHILLIPPINE INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS-OLONGAPO CITY CHAPTER AS THE AWARDEE FOR THE MOST OUTSTANDING CHAPTER - RUNNER-UP AWARD (CATEGORY D)FOR THE YEAR 2005 DURING THE 53RD PICPA ANNUAL CONVENTION IN MAKATI CITY

WHEREAS, in recognition of the manifold services rendered to the community, the Olongapo City Chapter of PICPA was chosen as the runner-up awardee for the most outstanding chapter (Category D) during the national convention of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants held in Makati City on November 25, 2005;

WHEREAS, PICPA, Olongapo City is deeply involved in developing the youth who aspire to be certified public accountants someday by sponsoring seminars and conferences for their benefit and instruction;

WHEREAS, the chapter holds values formation forums on the new accounting standards in the community;

WHEREAS, it extends aid and relief to indigents by organizing community outreach programs, and creates projects aimed at educating the disadvantaged members of the community most specially the children;

WHEREAS, for all these efforts and more, the Olongapo City Chapter of PICPA is recognized and given the runner-up award for the most outstanding chapter (Category D);

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina G. Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to congratulate as it hereby congratulates, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants-Olongapo City Chapter as the Awardee for the Most Outstanding Chapter – Runner-Up Award (Category D) for the Year 2005 during the 53rd PICPA Annual Convention in Makati City.
