RESOLUTION NO. 108
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION TO DESIGNATE VOLUNTEERS’ PARK AT PERIMETER ROAD AS A FREEDOM PARK

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 15 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 880 and in compliance with the directive of the Supreme Court En Banc in its Decision in G.R. Nos. 169838, 169848, 169881 and of DILG directive in its Memorandum Circular No. 2006-42 where cities and municipalities nationwide are enjoined to establish freedom parks in their localities;

WHEREAS, said freedom parks are intended for public assemblies free of charge;

WHEREAS, guidelines in the establishment of the freedom parks provided under the DILG Memorandum Circular 2006-42 must be strictly adhered to, thus must be made an integral part of this resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HERREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to designate as it is hereby designates Volunteers’ Park at Perimeter Road as a Freedom Park.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Office of the DILG, Olongapo City and the said Resolution be posted in 3 conspicuous places in the city.
