RESOLUTION NO. 04
(Series of 2008)

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEP SYMPATHIES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF BARANGAY CAPTAIN DELFIN A. CASEJA OF BARANGAY STA. RITA, OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, former Brgy. Capt. Delfin A. Caseja lived a reputable life as a public servant and as an ordinary citizen of Olongapo;

WHEREAS, “Mang Delfin”, who was born on June 14, 1949, is remembered as responsible, supportive and hardworking person to both his family and constituents;

WHEREAS, as a public official, he served Barangay Sta. Rita for 12 years all in all as a Barangay Councilor from 1980 to 1986 and as a Barangay Captain from 1988 to 1994. He was known to be kind, efficient, works with initiative, honest and someone who takes immediate action. For a man with significant government position, his humility endeared him most to the people;

WHEREAS, he was a former US Naval Base Employee who worked as an operator in the Power Plant. He also worked in the City Public Market after his term as Barangay Captain;

WHEREAS, the good fellow was diagnosed with Diabetes and succumbed to death on January 7, 2008 due to heart complications at the age of 58;

WHEREAS, Brgy. Capt. Delfin Caseja, was one dedicated Olongapo leader who will truly be remembered;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, express, as it hereby expresses deep sympathies to the bereaved family of Barangay Captain Delfin A. Caseja of Barangay Sta. Rita, Olongapo City
