WHEREAS, the City Tourism Office is one of the City Government’s advocates in boosting the local tourism industry;

WHEREAS, excellence in administration and service is of foremost priority of the City Tourism Office;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 18
(Series of 2008)

AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL ACCOUNT – CITY TOURISM PROGRAMS UNDER THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE CITY TOURISM OFFICE

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. A special account for the City Tourism Office is hereby created to be generated from its income on all tourism related activities, to be kept in the City Treasury.

SECTION 2. Charges and fees

All charges and fees derived from the clients shall accrue to the special account established.

SECTION 3. Disbursement

The special account shall be used solely for the operations of tourism related facilities (like parks, resorts, playgrounds, etc.), events, promotions of all tourism related programs as organized by the City Tourism Office.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
