WHEREAS, Engr. Ramon C. Zavalla, Officer-in-Charge, PUD requested for the extension of services of PUD personnel for another year to bill, deliver, record and collect the remaining accounts receivables of PUD, perform electrical maintenance on all government installations as well as to secure the building and materials at the PUD building at Barangay Pag-asa, Olongapo City.

            NOW, THEREFORE,  on motion of City Councilor  Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,  by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL ACCOUNT – CITY TOURISM PROGRAMS UNDER THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE CITY TOURISM OFFICE

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. A special account for the City Tourism Office is hereby created to be generated from its income on all tourism related activities, to be kept in the City Treasury.

SECTION 2. Charges and fees

All charges and fees derived from the clients shall accrue to the special account established.

SECTION 3. Disbursement

The special account shall be used solely for the operations of tourism related facilities (like parks, resorts, playgrounds, etc.), events, promotions of all tourism related programs as organized by the City Tourism Office.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPECIAL ACCOUNT – GORDON COLLEGE I.T. UNDER THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE GORDON COLLEGE

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. A special account for the Gordon College is hereby created to be generated from the Information Technology (IT) short courses, to be kept in the City Treasury.

SECTION 2. Charges and fees. All charges and fees derived from the enrollees of the short-term courses on computer technology during the summer period of Gordon College shall accrue to the special account hereto established.

SECTION 3. Disbursement. The special account shall be used solely for the improvement/maintenance of computer equipment of Gordon College and shall be credited as a trust liability.

SECTION 4. The Resolution of the Gordon College Board of Trustees shall be made an integral part of this ordinance.

SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

RESOLUTION NO. 119

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO OPEN A SPECIAL ACCOUNT IN THE DESIGNATED GOVERNMENT BANK FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE ECCD EXPANSION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 138, Series of 2006 authorized the Hon. City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in behalf of the Olongapo City Council for the Welfare of Children with the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children (RSCWC) in relation to the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program Implementation in the City;

WHEREAS, Article III (3.3.4) of the said Memorandum of Agreement stipulates that the City Government of Olongapo, represented by Hon. City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., is required to maintain a Special Trust Account solely for the funds received from CWC/NECCDCC intended for ECCD programs;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City is one of the beneficiaries of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) expansion program, thus, will be allocated the corresponding fund by the CWC/NECCDC and as such, required to open a Special Trust Account;

WHEREAS, being the proud beneficiary, the City Government of Olongapo City, represented by the City Treasurer is therefore responsible for opening an account in any designated government bank for the purpose of the ECCD expansion program. The authorized signatories of which are the City Treasurer and the City Administrator as provided for in Section 345 of the Local Government Code of 1991;

WHEREAS, this in effect, supersedes Resolution No. 82, Series of 2007;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth D. Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Treasurer to open a Special Account in the designated Government Bank for the purpose of the ECCD Expansion Program.
