A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF

 THE PHILIPPINES REGION (A FOUNDATION) FOR GIVING RELIEF DONATION TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO DURING THE ONSLAUGHT OF TYPHOON ODETTE-HABAGAT”

            WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo had been severely devastated due to the onslaught of Typhoon Odette-Habagat;

            WHEREAS, sixteen (16) out of seventeen (17) barangay had been inundated by water during said calamity;

WHEREAS, Soroptimist International of the Philippines Region (A Foundation), an international organization whose mission and core purpose is to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world, immediately responded to the needs of the city by providing relief packages to its residents;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo expresses its deep appreciation to the assistance rendered by said organization.

NOW THEREFORE,  with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends and extend its heartfelt appreciation to the generosity of  Soroptimist International Philippines Region (A Foundation) headed by its Governor Minda A. Garcia for giving relief donation to the City of Olongapo during the onslaught of typhoon Odette-Habagat.
