A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCREDITATION OF SUPNOC

 URBAN  POOR ORGANIZATION  PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT 7160

 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE

 PHILIPPINES  AND ITS IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS

            WHEREAS, Section 34 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the “Local Government Code of 1991” provides that the Local Government Units shall promote the establishment and the operations of non-governmental organization (NGOs) and people’s organizations (POs) to become partners in the pursuit of local economy;

           

WHEREAS, SUPNOC Urban Poor Organization applied to be accredited by the Sangguniang Panlungsod with accompanying documents such as Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Certificate of Registration, Organizational Profiles, Annual Accomplishment Report and Annual Financial Reports.

            WHEREAS, SUPNOC Urban Poor Organization has all the necessary qualifications and none of the disqualifications in order to be accredited by the local government.

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of  City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod  in session assembled, to approve as it hereby approves the accreditation of SUPNOC Urban Poor Organization pursuant to Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of the Philippines and its Implementing rules and regulations.
