A RESOLUTION CONVEYING DEEPEST SYMPATHIES AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF THE LATE PUNONG BARANGAY AMALIA CORUM OF BARANGAY NEW KABABAE, THIS CITY

WHEREAS, former Punong Barangay Amalia Corum of Barangay New Kababae peacefully joined her Creator on February 18, 2015 at the age of 53;

WHEREAS, the late Punong Barangay served 24 dedicated years as public servant which began on October 30, 1989 when she first held an elective public office as Sangguniang Barangay Member up to May 30, 2000.  In CY 2000 up to 2002 she assumed the position of the Punong Barangay of Barangay New Kababae in an acting capacity, then she was elected Punong Barangay and completed her three (3) consecutive term from August 15, 2002 up to November 30, 2013;

WHEREAS, Punong Barangay Corum is survived by her children April Essel, Jeffrey and Ariston;

WHEREAS, her public service is highlighted by the very core reason she was well loved and remembered by her constituents, that is,  her generosity and compassion to those in need and her 24/7 availability as a leader;

WHEREAS, the late Punong Barangay left a legacy of selfless giving to her family, of wisdom and strength to those people she served, and of love and respect to her friends;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo lost a leader that exemplified a leadership of integrity and commitment which won her the heart and approval of the people of Barangay New Kababae with her consistent record of wins in all local elections;

            NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,  by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled  to convey, at it hereby conveys  deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family of the late Punong Barangay Amalia Corum of Barangay New Kababae, this city
