WHEREAS, with the regular year-end payment of Real Property Taxes, the local business owners requested for a consideration to extend the deadline for the payment of Mayor’s Permit Fees and Business Taxes due for Year 2015;

WHEREAS, the Head of Business Permit & Licensing Division acknowledges the situation and recommends the extension of the deadline of payment for Mayor’s Permit Fees and Business Taxes due for the Year 2015 until February 16, 2015;

WHEREAS, this legislation shows the goodwill and support of the city to the business community;

NOW, THEREFORE,  on motion of City Councilor Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr. with the unanimous accord Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE DEADLINE OF PAYMENT FOR MAYOR’S PERMIT FEES FOR BUSINESSES AND BUSINESS TAXES FOR BOTH FULL AND/OR FIRST QUARTER DUE FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2015 AS PROVIDED UNDER SECTIONS  4A.21 AND 3A.08 RESPECTIVELY OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 64, SERIES OF 2007 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “OLONGAPO CITY 2007

 REVENUE CODE”

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

            SECTION 1.   Payment for Mayor’s Permit Fees for businesses and payment for both full and/or first quarter Business Taxes due for the Year 2015 is hereby extended until February 16, 2015 without the corresponding surcharge and interest.

            SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

            Let copies of this Ordinance be furnished to the Offices of the Business Permit and Licensing, City Treasury and Public Affairs for guidance and record.
