RESOLUTION NO. 19

A RESOLUTION  EXPRESSING  PROFOUND GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO THE ALOHA MEDICAL MISSION VOLUNTEERS OF HAWAII FOR THE CONDUCT OF A MEDICAL-SURGICAL AND DENTAL MISSION TO THE INDIGENT CONSTITUENTS OF THE CITY OF OLONGAPO ON MARCH 9-13, 2015

WHEREAS,  the Aloha Medical Mission (AMM) will conduct a medical-surgical and dental mission from March 9-13, 2015 (8:00am-5:00pm) in partnership with the City of Olongapo,  the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH) and the Subic Bay Freeport Chamber for Health and Environment Conservation as the local coordinators;

WHEREAS,  the Aloha Medical Mission  (AMM) composed of  doctors, dentists and nurses from Hawaii, who will shoulder all their expenses, as well as medical supplies and medicines for the surgeries and other medical procedures;

WHEREAS, in the letter dated February 11, 2015 of Mr. Bryan K. Dimen of Subic Bay Freeport Chamber for Health & Environment Conservation, the local coordinator of Aloha Medical Mission, the following procedures are to be done: a total of 60 Plastic Surgeries (cleft lip and palate cases, burn cases and physical deformities), 80 General Surgeries (herrnias, gall bladder, body masses), 20 Gynecology cases (prolapsed uteri, ovarian cyst, trans-abdominal hysterectomies), 250 Dental cases, and 250 Minor Surgeries;

WHEREAS, this selfless service and voluntary noble acts of kindness, with the passion to help the less fortunate, deserve, at the very least,  a recognition by the City and a heartfelt expression of gratitude and appreciation to the volunteers of the Aloha Medical Mission from Hawaii namely:

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eduardo G. Guerrero, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

  

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to express, as it hereby expresses, profound gratitude and appreciation to the Aloha Medical Mission Volunteers of Hawaii for the  conduct of a medical-surgical and dental mission to the indigent contituents of the City of Olongapo  on March 9-13, 2015.
