In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Rexy Gregorio-Cruz, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

ORDINANCE NO. 123 (Series of 2003)

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP500,000.00) TO THE ITEM OFFICE SUPPLIES EXPENSE UNDER MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500,OOO.OO) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund, not otherwise appropriated and the same is hereby made available to the item Office Supplies Expense under Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) of the Office of the City Mayor.

SECTION 2. This appropnation Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter request of the Honorable City Mayor Katherine H. Gordon, dated October 15, 2003, and the Certificate of Availability of Funds dated October 22, 2003 issued by Mr. Marcelino D. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
