RESOLUTION NO. 168
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING ALL BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS TO JOIN THE CITYWIDE THREE (3) DAY “MEGA FIESTA BONANZA” ON DECEMBER 28, 29 AND 30, 2005.


WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Fiesta Committee was created to assist the city in all its fund raising activities during the Yuletide Season;

WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Fiesta Committee ultimately helps the business community in all its determination to organize events and fund raising activities;

WHEREAS, every Christmas season, business people think of many ways to attract consumers and encourage them to buy;

WHEREAS, one of the most effective sales promotion approaches is the scheduling of massive sales and mark down prices in most tourism related areas;

WHEREAS, to have a citywide “MEGA FIESTA BONANZA” this year that will aim at providing sales, discounts, buy one take one, bargain, and similar sales and marketing/ promotion activities will entice people to go out of their homes and spend money. This will eventually help the business community in its desire to acquire additional revenues this yuletide season.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to encourage, as hereby encourages all business establishments to join the citywide three (3) day “Mega Fiesta Bonanza” on December 28, 29 and 30, 2005.

Let copies of this Resolution be given to all business establishments, the Business Division and Public Affairs Office for the information dissemination and implementation.
