RESOLUTION NO. 160
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMINGTHE APPOINTMENT OF MR. RENATO Z. WONG AS MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF GORDON COLLEGE

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9, Series of 1999, creating Olongapo City Colleges now known as Gordon College which aims to provide excellent education for the poor and deserving students of Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, this responsibility is carried out mainly by the school’s Board of Trustees, comprised by qualified persons with academic and technical expertise in formulating policies and decisions for the attainment of the institution’s mission and vision;

WHEREAS, Mr. Renato Z. Wong was nominated by no less than the City Mayor, Hon. James Gordon, Jr. for membership on the said board;

WHEREAS, Mr. Wong holds the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Marketing from St. Louis University in Baguio City. His work experience includes more than twenty-five (25) years in the Banking business, having worked at the Associated Banking Corporation from 1980 to 1981; Philippine Bank of Communication from 1981 to1985; American Express Bank Military Banking Facility from 1985 to 1990; Merchant National Bank of Indianapolis, Subic Bay from 1990 to 1992 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company from 1992 to the present;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to confirm, as it hereby confirms the appointment of Mr. Renato Z. Wong as Member of the Board of Trustees of Gordon College.
