WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Vendors Management Team is the primary workforce in charge of the Market as well as Street Vending within the City;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reorganize the composition of the Management Team in order to further serve its interest in pursuance of peace and order vis-à-vis entrepreneurship in the City;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Edwin J. Piano co-sponsored by Councilor John Carlos G. delos Reyes, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 17

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 16, SERIES OF 2006 RE: COMPOSITION OF THE OLONGAPO CITY VENDORS MANAGEMENT TEAM

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED THAT:


SECTION 1. Amendment. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 16, Series of 2006, Creation And Composition – A Vendors Management Team is hereby created which shall directly be under the Office of the City Mayor and shall be composed of the following:

CHAIRMAN: City Mayor/duly authorized Representative

VICE-CHAIRMAN: Vice – Mayor

MEMBERS:

1. Committee Chair, Traffic Management
2. Committee Chair, Markets & Slaughterhouse
3. OIC, Office of the Traffic Management & Public Safety
4. Director, Olongapo City Police Office
5. Head, City Engineering Office
6. Head, ESMO
7. Head, EBB Market
8. Head, James L. Gordon Market & Mall
9. Head, City Slaughterhouse
10. President, Olongapo City Vendors Association
11. Representative, accredited Olongapo-based Business Group


SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
