RESOLUTION NO. 78
(Series of 2009)

A RESOLUTION EXTENDING EARNEST INVITATION TO THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN NATIONAL FEDERATION TO HOLD ITS NATIONAL CONGRESS IN OLONGAPO CITY AND SUBIC BAY FREEPORT ZONE IN OCTOBER 2009

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo and the Subic Bay Freeport Zone boast their wonderful scenic beaches, unexplored forest, their rich culture and nature parks to the delight of local and foreign tourists;

WHEREAS, various international and national conventions and gatherings have been organized in the said areas, catering to thousands upon thousands of satisfied Filipinos and foreigners recurrently;

WHEREAS, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority has a convention center that can house ten thousand delegates while Olongapo City Convention Center has a capacity of two thousand five hundred attendees;

WHEREAS, the hotel and restaurant industries in the said areas have successfully accommodated the 2007 Advertising Congress which noted to the biggest number of attendees in its entire history, while the organizers have openly expressed extreme appreciation and its intent to organize the same the soonest possible opportunity;

WHEREAS, once again, this community wishes to extend its hospitality to fellow Filipinos who would want to capture and experience the wonders of nature and people in Subic Bay-Olongapo side by side with the convergence at hand;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo expresses its high esteem to the Sangguniang Kabataan as the nation’s builder of future leaders and that providing them the perfect venue for their national congress will definitely result to the successful accomplishment of its objectives;

WHEREAS, on the other hand, the City deems this national activity as beneficial to the business and tourism industries as it will continue to pump prime income and employment of people;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to extend as it hereby extends earnest invitation to the Sangguniang Kabataan National Federation to hold its National Congress in Olongapo City and Subic Bay Freeport Zone in October 2009;

Let copy of this Resolution be furnished to the National Officers for their information.
