A RESOLUTION CALLING ON THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (RDC) TO ESTABLISH A RELOCATION SITE FOR RESIDENTS WHO ARE LIVING IN DECLARED DISASTER/HAZARDOUS AREAS IN CENTRAL LUZON, INCLUDING OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo, together with other neighboring jurisdiction in Central Luzon have experienced serious threat to life, health and property brought about by the recent onslaught of natural calamities;

WHEREAS, official news show that thousands of families in Central Luzon have been displaced and are in need of relocation sites for refuge, rehabilitation and recovery;

WHEREAS, the City is committed to facilitate efforts which would alleviate the conditions of the natural calamity victims in Olongapo City and other neighboring jurisdictions in Central Luzon and to take preventive and anticipatory measures for their welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr. with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod In session assembled, to call, as it hereby calls on the Regional Development Council (RDC) to establish a relocation site for residents who are living in declared disaster/hazardous areas in Central Luzon, including Olongapo City.
