A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL WEST CENTRAL LUZON DISTRICT FOR GIVING RELIEF DONATION TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO DURING THE ONSLAUGHT OF TYPHOON ODETTE-HABAGAT”

            WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo had been severely devastated due to the onslaught of Typhoon Odette-Habagat;

            WHEREAS, sixteen (16) out of seventeen (17) barangay had been inundated by water during said calamity;

WHEREAS, Soroptimist International West Central Luzon District comprises the following clubs, to wit: Soroptimist International of Angeles, Soroptimist International of Bataan, Soroptimist International of Cabanatuan, Soroptimist International of Guagua, Soroptimist International of Magalang, Soroptimist International of Metro Cabanatuan,  Soroptimist International of Olongapo, Soroptimist International of Pampanga, Soroptimist International of San Jose, Soroptimist International of Science City of Muñoz and Soroptimist International of Tarlac;

WHEREAS, Soroptimist clubs being a service organization whose mission and core purpose is to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world, had immediately responded to needs of the city by providing relief packages to its residents;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo expresses its deep appreciation to the assistance rendered by said organization.

  

NOW, THEREFORE,  with the unanimous accord  of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends  and extend its heartfelt appreciation to the generosity of Soroptimist International West Central Luzon District headed by District Director Susan Diyco and its member clubs for giving relief donation to the City of Olongapo during onslaught of typhoon Odette-Habagat..
