A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE OLONGAPO CITY PENINSULA LIONS CLUB, INC. FOR SPONSORING VARIOUS PROJECTS AND FREE CATARACT SURGERY BENEFITTING THE INDIGENT RESIDENTS OF OLONGAPO CITY

            WHEREAS, Olongapo City Peninsula Lions Club, Inc. is a secular service organization whose aim is to meet the needs of communities on a local and global scale and to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors;

            WHEREAS, the said club had been conducting several projects in the community and had been rendering “Free Cataract Surgery” in the City of Olongapo every year for a period of twelve (12) years;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo expresses its deep appreciation to aforesaid laudable projects and undertaking rendered by the club most particularly its’ yearly “Free Cataract Surgery” benefitting the City of Olongapo;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the  unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby  commends and extend its heartfelt appreciation to the generosity of  Olongapo  City Peninsula Lions Club, Inc. for  spearheading various  projects and conducting yearly “Free Cataract Surgery”  benefitting the indigent residents of Olongapo City.
