               WHEREAS, on February 11, 2008, the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed and approved an Ordinance No.64, Series of 2007 entitled: An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 81, Series of 2002 And Providing For The Olongapo City 2007 Revenue Code”;

              WHEREAS, the said ordinance served as the basis for the processing, approving and issuances of business license for the conduct of any business, trade or activity within City of Olongapo;

              WHEREAS, considering the application for the issuance of business license entails the submission several documentary requirements before a business license may be issued, there is a need to allow applicant to commence their  business operation provisionally or conditionally until the completion of their requirements’

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Noel Y. Atienza, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,  by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.A 11A ORDINANCE NO. 64, SERIES OF 2007, ENTITLED: “AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 81, SERIES OF 2002 AND PROVIDING FOR THE OLONGAPO CITY 2007 REVENUE CODE”

            BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

            SECTION 1.  This Ordinance  amends the following:

Section 3A 11 – Administrative Provision.

a)     Requirement – Any person who shall establish, operate or conduct any business, trade or activity mentioned in this Article in the City Of Olongapo, shall first obtain a Mayor’s Permit and pay the fee therefore and the business tax imposed under this Article.

Section 3A 11 – Administrative Provision

a)      Requirement – Any person who shall establish, operate or conduct any business, trade or activity mentioned in this Article in the City of Olongapo shall  first obtain a Mayor’s Permit and pay the fee therefore and the business tax imposed under this Article:

However, any person who applied for the issuance of Mayor’s Permit may be granted a provisional/conditional permit for a period of sixty (60) days to commence his/her business operation in order for compliance of documentary requirements prescribed by the said business, trade or activity.  Such provisional/conditional permit of sixty (60) days may be extended for inextendible period of thirty (30) days.

            SECTION 2.  Separability Clause – Any Ordinance or part of it not consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance shall be considered amended.

            SECTION 3.  This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
