A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT – REGIONAL OFFICE NO. III, REPRESENTED BY ITS REGIONAL DIRECTOR, MR. RAYMUNDO G. AGRAVANTE WITH REGARD TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE

STARTER  KIT – BUILDING FOR LIVELIHOOD FORMATION

WHEREAS, Olongapo City endeavors to avail of the benefits of the DOLE Capability Building Program for Livelihood Formation (Starter Kits), a program package of services that will provide target beneficiaries – informal sector workers and OFWs and their families – both skills training and the necessary tools to enable them to quickly start livelihood activities and become self-employed in varied areas of trade;

WHEREAS, the fund support set aside by DOLE in line with the implementation of the DOLE Kabuhayan Program as grants in the form of livelihood/training grants to qualified and deserving federations/organizations/workers associations is of great help for the implementation of the said program;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment – Regional Office III represented by its Regional Director, Mr. Raymundo G. Agravante with regard to the implementation of the Starter Kit – Building for Livelihood Formation

Let a copy of the signed Memorandum of Agreement be made as an integral part of this resolution.
