RESOLUTION NO. 73 

(Series of 2015)

A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING SAMUEL MORRISON FOR WINNING A GOLD MEDAL IN THE 28^TH SEA GAMES 2015, HELD ON JUNE 2015 AT SINGAPORE

WHEREAS, the 28th SEA Games is one of the biggest Regional Sports events in the South East Asian Games held in Singapore last June 2015 and participated in by eleven Asian  countries including the Philippines;

WHEREAS, Mr. Samuel Morrison,  a native of  Olongapo City  and  a  member of the Philippine Team who competed and represented the Philippines, triumphantly beat the Vietnamese opponent  in the final event of 56 Kg. Men’s Division in Taekwondo last 14 June 2015;

WHEREAS, “Butch” as he was popularly known, started to show his skills  at the age  of  six, under the guidance of his  Coaches Jun Arlanza and Pablo  C. Alatong.  He had garnered  several awards from other different sports competitions and showed the true spirit of sportsmanship;

WHEREAS, by showing dedication and excellence, he made a distinguished contribution in the field of sports. He also mirror the energy, enthusiasm and determination of  today’s athlete;

WHEREAS, the outstanding performance made by Samuel Morrison rightfully deserve a commendation and congratulations for bringing honor and pride to Olongapo City and the Philippine in general.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Emerito Linus D. Bacay, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

  

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to congratulate and commend, as it hereby congratulates and commends Samuel Morrison for winning a gold   a medal in  the 28^th Sea Games 2015, Taekwondo Event   held on June 2015, at Singapore.
