RESOLUTION NO. 170
(Series of 2005)

A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING MR. LEYAN MONCERA, SON
OF MR. LEVY MONCERA AND MRS. FLORIAN MONCERA FOR WINNING THE PRESTIGIOUS PHILIPPINE COLUMBIAN JUNIOR TENNIS CUP
HELD LAST DECEMBER 4-11, 2005


WHEREAS, young Olongapeño , top seed Leyan Moncera clinched the final 16-under berth award at the prestigious Philippine Columbian Junior Tennis Cup last December 4-11, 2005;

WHEREAS, he stunned many in his winning streaks and outclassed his opponents during the semi-finals. This forged him to advance to the championship showdown and won;

WHEREAS, the City is proud that another Olongapeño added feather to the cap of the City in the arena of sports;

WHEREAS, Moncera’s discipline and sturdy values as a young athlete is indeed worthy of emulation;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Noel Y. Atienza, co-sponsored by Councilors Anselmo A. Aquino and Robine Rose C. Buenafe, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to congratulate, as it hereby congratulates Mr. Leyan Moncera, son of Mr. Levy Moncera and Mrs. Florian Moncera for winning the prestigious Philippine Columbian Junior Tennis Cup held last December 4-11, 2005.
