RESOLUTION NO. 61
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HON. SENATOR MIRIAM DEFENSOR SANTIAGO FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE CENTER FOR YOUTH BUILDING IN STA. RITA, THIS CITY


WHEREAS, Olongapo City remains steadfast to its avowed policy as parens patriae to its young constituents;

WHEREAS, for this, an institution named as Center for Youth, that aims to help, house temporarily and reform young citizens in conflict with the law had been established to pave way for their transformation as productive citizens of society;


WHEREAS, though the Center’s building had been halfway through, its construction had been refrained because of insufficiency of funds;

WHEREAS, it is through the concern, concerted effort and generosity of people that such noteworthy projects, for and in behalf of the youth of this city can be implemented;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to request, as it hereby requests Hon. Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago for financial assistance for the completion of the Center for Youth Building in Sta. Rita, this City .
